After a long drive, we arrived at Humboldt Redwoods National Park in Northern California! These are the pictures on the road when we took many breaks.

We drove further down the Oregon coast and stayed at Humbug Mountain State Park. We have stayed there several years ago and remembered the nice path to the beach from the camp site. It was super windy and Aki cried hard every time the gust of wind with sand hit him. He really learned about wind today.

Camping trip Summer 2012 - Day 1

We drove to Cape Perpetua campground on the Oregon coast after stopping by at a seafood restaurant in Newport where Aki saw many boats. At Cape Perpetua he hiked uphills and downhills very well by himself on the way to the beach. It was fun to pick wild berries along the way.

Aki drew 2 beautiful suns on our bedroom door. I assume it would drive parents crazy but it makes me very happy!
