Again Saori lead the group miso making event this year at her house. She is sharing her sample miso from last year. I made twice as much this year because homemade miso is the best!

Boys are eating and watching a movie while mamas are making miso.

Played some music together.

Mother Earth School's Halloween Tour

After Lucius' birthday party, Milo's family and we went to the Mother Earth School's Halloween tour at Jean's Farm.

A wooly bear took us to the tour. We are going to find out the answer to the questions where the sun goes during the cold and dark winter time.

The first character appeared on a canoe in the pond. He gave kids bubbles.

Next the family with goats said the sun goes in the honey and they gave us honey sticks.

Of course Aki loved the honey stick.

Our friend Mat was a cowboy and he said the sun goes in oranges. He gave us roasted pumpkin seeds and oranges.

A raccoon said the sun goes in the dirt.

People were busy shelling acorns.

She showed us how to crack acorns.

Our friend Kelly was singing a beautiful song and gave pretty sparkles.

Going through the farm and the woods to see more characters...

He was playing music on the tree and gave bells to kids.

The last character gave candles. The sun is in all of our heart after all. What a great adventure it was!!

Lucius' 3rd Birthday Party!

Lucius wanted to have a bowling birthday party!

Kids got to use this assistant to bowl.

Aki was very focused and enjoyed the bowling experience so much.

Everyone had a great time.

Happy Birthday Lulu!

Lantern Festival at New Day School

Phoenix class made their lanterns with decorated glass jars hanging from twigs.

Everyone walked through the garden with lanterns.
Teacher Piper performed a fire dance!! This is not an ordinary school for sure.

Watched a musical shadow play about the boy who lost his crystal and eventually found it in his heart at the end.

Well done and a great story! After this play we all shared a potluck dinner.
