Aki's 3rd birthday party

We rented a beautiful community space with wooden floor at the People's Food Co-op. We brought in spinning disco lights, bubble machine, and selected music by DJ papa to make it a dance party!

Aki, mama, papa, and gradma (on skype) all made cookies together for the party! Aki really enjoyed putting faces on stars and cats.

Mama made a rocket cake!

On the way to the party he took a good nap with balloons.

It's a rice cake and spread party. Mama made many different dips and spread. Papa neatly presented veggies on the plate.

The wedding was held at Joel's cafe in downtown Portland.

Milo's family is really like our family. Aki feel at home with them.

Sakiko's parents came for the wedding from Niigata. They look so happy!

Stickers!

Aki loves stickers. But you know what they run out quick... so papa started helping Aki make his stickers at home by scanning images into computer and print them out. Aki is so happy!! He asks for more every morning. When the stickers are printed, he runs downstairs all excited and put them in his little box first, then he stick them all over the fridge!
