There was my grandmother's 7th anniversary since she passed away at a local temple and our close relative got together. Aki was asleep in my arm during most of the ceremony, but he woke up just in time to experience all the chanting and gongs.

Japan Trip 2012 - Part 1
Aki and Mama Stayed with Jiji & Baba(Japanese Grandpa & Grandma) in Saitama Japan for 3 weeks from September 12-October 3, 2012. This was only the second time for AKi and JijiBaba to see each other but they got along really well. Also seeing his cousin Shogo and his aunt Mio was great. Even though Shogo and AKi are 6 years apart, they played really well together! Aki started to pick up as many as 40 new Japanese words while we were there. Even though we missed Papa, it was a great opportunity for us to spend time with our family and friends.
